Raku Ceramics
Today was my long day of classes, with History of Italian Cinema and Ceramics. In my cinema class, we watched a really good Italian movie called Mediterraneo, which is about Italian soldiers washing up on a Greek island after the Allies sink their ship. Initially they think the island is deserted, but soon find out that the locals have been in hiding. After winning the trust of the locals, they begin to immerse themselves in the Greek culture, forgetting about the war (they were there for 3+ years).
In ceramics, we began another project where we have to make five Raku pieces. Below is a decorative teapot I made. I'm not sure what I'm going to do for my other four pieces and the last day we have to work on this is Thursday, so I have to do a lot of brainstorming!
Tonight I was going to go to the film night at school since my teacher was showing my all time favorite Italian film, Johnny Stecchino (about a bus driver who impersonates a mobster, not knowing that the real mobster is in hiding after testifying after mafia leaders). However, I was too tired and I got really into my book (which I finished).
Well that's it for today...
Ciao for now!
